Making Friends on ETSY !

I Love Surprises!

Andrea from Swan River Stone surprised me today with a feature on her blog about my ecofriendly organic washcloths.  She probably found my blog through ETSY or maybe even FaceBook, not sure, but she has a beautiful blog!  Here's what she wants us to know about her and her blog:

SwanRiverStone's blog is "based on the three elements above- Grace, Balance, and Strength that is the story behind the name of my business SwanRiverStone.  The Swan is a bird who goes through alot of hell and clumsy growing pains in order to become the beautiful, graceful bird that it is- This is me."

Check out Andrea's beautiful jewelry - here's a quick sample of her 'prettiness:'

Blog Party! Show off Your Craft!

I've been trying to figure out what this link party thing is all about so I searched blogs and added my link to other  collections.  And sure enough, traffic started coming in good and strong.

So I decided the best way to really get the feel for this is to do a blog party/linky on my blog.

Since this is my first blog party, I'm interested in seeing what your crafts are.  For me, I make handmade rag/coiled baskets and have been crocheting like a fool lately.  I'm currently working on making 6 cream colored crocheted organic wash/spa cloths for two different customers.  They'll be done and in the mail tomorrow.

When you link up your projects please be sure to:

Link to your specific post, not the main page of your blog, so people can easily find your project.

Link to a craft/art project.

  1. Show some love!

  2. Visit some of the projects linked up and leave a comment!

  3. Add my blog address to your Blog List so everyone can follow along (I'll make a button if this blog party thing works well.)

  4. Become a follower on my blog.

Super easy, right?

What are you working on?

Super Easy Chunky Crochet Bangle

5 Quick Steps to a
Great Chunky Bangle / Bracelet

Materials:

I used "Loops & Threads, Charisma, 100% acrylic yarn".  Just use up your scraps for this project.  Any yarn should work (cotton, bamboo, acrylic, etc.)

Steps:
  1. Leave a 3 inch tail.
  2. 25 single stitches.
  3. Loop the last single stitch back to the first one and stitch together to form a ring.
  4. Double crochet in each single stitch you made above.
  5. Single stitch in each double crochet above.

Good luck !  Please leave a comment if you make these - link to your picture so we can see how they came out.

This is my own design!  Feel free to post it on your blog!

Willie Got All Wet! (The Cutest Cat Ever)

We had a huge storm the other night and Willie got caught in the rain.  When he came in, we wrapped him up in a duckie towel and dried him off.  He loved it - can't you tell !?!?!
